Default MS3, TSP PRC stage 2.5, 5.3, ect results...

1998 Formula WS6, M6 with stock 3.42 gears.

TSP PRC stage 2.5, 5.3l heads (the new version 2)
MS3 cam (112 LSA)
SLP underdrive pulley
SLP lid
SVO 42# injectors
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
FAST 92mm intake
PTM 92mm TB
ARH 1 3/4 headers with ORY
Magnaflow catback

I was expecting a little more, however given that the dyno was in the mountains in PA (3,000 ft elevation) on a fairly hot and humid day, I am confident it could and would have seen another 10 RWHP at least.

Here's the vid;

1998 Formula Dyno

Congrats man the numbers are good for the elevation and wheather but I'm 100% sure a cutout will help a lot Magnaflow is not the best flowing catback.

I'm sure it would as well, but I wanted the Formula to be a street car that is not obnoxios loud under WOT. My Camaro in my sig is really loud, and I just didn't want another car I had to be like that.

The Formula's street manners are great, and it still sounds very nice going through some RPM's.

Plus I still got 24 MPG on the drive home from the dyno.

Actually it is one of the best. Don't confuse it with flowmaster.

Yeah, it runs very well. Over the weekend I ran a buddy of mine with a APS TT C5 (500 RWHP 550 RWTQ). I was really surprised that at a 30 MPH roll I instantly grabbed and held 2 car lengths on him (he says because of all the turbo lag) until about 75-80 MPH where he passed me (fairly easily). By about 120 MPH he had a good 2-3 car lengths on me.

(For those wondering, I didn't have the camera rolling for it )

I was very happy with those results. I am looking forward to seeing what it will do at the track!

Naaah. This setup will hold me just fine for a long time. There's some that have the mind set that "theres always more to do", however I am now complete with the Formula (until the motor goes). The rear will hold ust fine with the Khumo non sticking tires I have, and it will probably hold up just fine with DR's as well. I am content with it

I gotta save for another car somehow

We actually ran like 5 times all at different speeds, the outcome was always the same. The Z28 was faster every time. The slower the speed we started at, the more the Z28 would win by. Even our highway starting speeds we started at, I still walked away from him fairly easily. More video would not show anything new, and it would just upset him further

Since then, he has already purchased some much better ported aftermarket heads, and a turbo cam, and plans on upping the boost. After all of this is together with a new tune, then perhaps we will run again. But that won't be for a while as he has several other projects going on.

Good numbers!

We started in the same gear each time. We both have the stock 3.42 gears in the rear as well. I certainly did not expect to pull on him like that in the Formula. We ran them 3 times and again had the same results every time. I did expect by the end of the run for him to be a bit in front of me (which he certainly was). Trust me, his top end was MUCH faster than my Formula's.
