My throttle blade never closes but I'm sure at some point I will have to go to a glide or th400. I just hate how touchy a converter can be and how expensive converters are. You can have 2 converters that are advertised the same stal speed but one can be really loose and one can be really tight.

I hate the fact that I looked high and low for a black WS6 M6 car, passed up quite a few good autos only to swap to and auto anyway 5 years down the road.

What is a powershift anyway? /sarcasm Keep clapping for yourself. Keep being wowed. I never said I didn't know what a powershift is.

I can row the gears with the best of them, with full throttle lift, and full clutch engagement. You can't claim a T56 that is constantly powershifted will last like a TH400 in a 800+whp turbo car. Give me a ******* break. But I'm sure you and your almighty credibility and massive turbo car knowledge can enlighten us that it can

PS--You never posted links of all of the $50k 7 second cars that trap near 200mph. (I'm still waiting. Also, have you ever even built a fast turbo car???? Where is your credibility? If you want to challenge my credibility, I can back all of my claims up with my own findings on one of the many turbo set-ups I have helped build for my car I, for one, have had M6 and AUTO turbo cars

Powershifting is keeping the gas matted to the floor while you very quickly clutch/shift. Most of the runs I made in my old 96 SS were done this way.

I won't debate the fact that autos have an advantage at the strip but I must say I get a great sense of accomplishment and a huge rush of adrenaline after pulling an awesome launch and ripping through 4 gears at the track. Much more rewarding to me than driving an auto car.

You missed my "/sarcasm" after I asked. Any 16 year old who is into racing his moms civic knows what a powershift is lol.

I did miss that, but on the contrary I've actually seen alot of confusion surrounding the subject.

If you told me upfront you were a 16 year old into racing his moms civic I wouldn't have clarified, but now I know.

With an M6 On the street, keeping the boost up by powershifting always got me insane wheel spin between gears, ya it looked cool, but I wasn't going anywhere, and more than a few times the places I was going was toward the guardrail, ditch, oncoming traffic etc. Many times I did not see much boost till top of second. I guess the big factor is how much you really race it and how important the time slip is. With an STS, bad driving and horrible traction I got 12.3 @120 while my friends bolt on only with stall auto got 12.5 @110 but I would totally take him apart on the street. I just went SC and the car is alot more "manageable" now.

I was a die hard 6spd driver at one time. Got tired of playing the clutch game. Got tired of being made fun of for running crap ET all the time. Was terrified I'd hate the TH400 but was sick of clutch issues and made the leap. I couldn't believe how much better the car was driving around right after the swap, my attitude towards autos was completely changed.

I have always had m6 cars until now. When I went to the bigger motor and bigger turbo I converted mine to a th400 and I will never go back.Dont get me wrong on the street the m6 was fun just not as reliable and as consistant as the th400.

Yeah that list sounds about right.

Autos = don't feel that fast and boring

M6 = lots of fun, feel fast as hell and then get their *** handed to them by boring autos with less power

I'll keep my boring auto for racing but wouldn't mind having a stick for cruising the streets for the "fun factor".

So which is better,
having an M6 and the feeling that the car is faster than it is or having an auto, feeling slower and winning more often? Winning tends to feel pretty damn good.

I've never heard someone say "I wish my car felt faster and was more fun to drive while I was losing".
