I have a Spec clutch in the SS now, but it was put in before I bought it. It chattered like hell for a while and then stopped later on (i knew the previous owner really well).
LS7 wouldnt be a bad choice either, but I have never driven one, it is however cheaper than all the other options I believe.
But I do vouch for RAM
Id just stay away from spec. Do a search on them, they dont last long for most people. I had a stg 3 go out in 6k miles and a good friends 3+ crapped out in 3k.
i have run a Mcleod twin disk rst. Both for weekend cruising and racing.. the clutch is great! I launch at 5k rpm and cut 1.4 60' times. the clutch loves it!
Its a great clutch:
-lighter then stock pedal effort
-great street driving
-amazing track driving
-mcleod has over 30yrs of racing experience
the RST and RXT by mcleod are smaller in diamter, that equals less rotating mass. Faster revs. Twin disk, have more mating surfaces and allow for a very light pedal.
Twin disk is the only way too go.
