no fuel rail's being used, putting a carb on it, and putting nos foggers in the injector ports. just ran into a slight set back though, bought a short block that was built by a so called LS1 "sprcialist" (no names will be given, but there initials are ARE). motor had less than 6000 mile on it, and it looks like is has a million miles on it. first, it was to be a balanced assembly, well every balanced motor iv'e put together or have seen has some sort of marks on the components. meaning pistons drilled or rods lightened, crank drilled. this thing has none of the above. second, it has clevite "H" rod bearings on stock crank. last time i checked a stock crank has no filet radius, plus H bearings are made for harder cranks (forged aftermarket type). then we have the main bearings, 4 of the 5 mains are down to copper, after closer inspection it looks like the main bore is out, almost like the caps are from another block. and finally the ross pistons all have medium skirt scuffing (bore to tight). with all this i will have to remachine the block to get it into usable shape. as far as ARE goes i would'nt let them hang the little blue thing in my toilet that makes the water blue. also the owner broke the motor in on regular castrol then switched to the german castrol.
msd has a box for the LS1/LS6 that plugs into the coils, crank & cam sensor,a map sensor. it will fire the coils, plus you can use msd's software to program your own timing curves. http://www.msdignition.com/2005/2005_3.htm

did you buy the intake seperately, or did you buy the edelbrock kit?
i tried to hold out for the vic jr, but couldnt wait and went with the GM intake.
insiders tell me that the jr should pull harder up top, but i dont see how. very pleased with the GM intake.
setup looks awesome.
ill have to keep an eye on things to see how it turns out.
nice job!
