Materials Needed
- Cabin air filter
- Flat head screwdriver
Step 1 – Move the weatherstripping
Open the hood, then pull the weatherstripping away from passenger side. You don't need to remove it all the way, you just want to reveal the cabin air filter cover.
Step 2 – Remove three clips
Remove the three clips holding the filter's cover in place. You can use your flat head screwdriver to pry them up, then use your fingers to pull them off. There will be one on the side of the cover, and two on the front of the cover, towards the front of the vehicle.
Step 3 – Remove cover
Remove the air filter's cover by pulling it up. You will need to pull it up, then out towards the driver's side to remove it.
Step 4 – Replace cabin air filter
Pull the housing cover back towards the vehicle to remove it. Remove the housing cover, then pull the filter straight up to remove. Install the new filter in place, then clip the housing cover back on. Install the cover in place, then install the three clips to hold it in place. Put the weatherstripping back over in place.
